Ian Hawkins

Ian Hawkins is a writer turned comedian, presenter and award-winning public speaker.

He wrote for The Politics Show on BBC 1, Channel Four’s The 11 o’clock Show, Loose Ends, The News Quiz, and The Treatment for BBC Radio (“Quite simply, week in, week out, the best satirical show on the radio” – Heat Magazine). He has also written for other high profile comedians over the last twelve years, notable credits include Stephen K Amos.

For five years he worked as an agent at JLA, the UK’s largest speaker agency, securing two of the five biggest deals in the company’s 20-year history, working with such speakers as Sebastian Coe, Eliza Manningham-Buller and Mikhail Gorbachev.

Ian regularly appears on BBC Radio 2, BBC London, BBC Bristol, LBC and 3CR. In 2013, he won the Bronze Award at Toastmasters UK & Ireland Speech Contest Final.

Ian is co-author of the best selling book, Insider Secrets of Public Speaking.
